I don’t understand how God made me, that is, I seem to find funny things in almost everything I hear and read. I think up dozens of puns or play on words which I seldom express because I’ve found that it usually makes people mad at me as if I’m never serious.

Maybe it is a lack of self discipline of giving people my full attention to what they are saying rather than the funny things I am thinking. So, in the words of Archie Bunker, I stifle myself..

“As a dream comes when there are many cares,
so the speech of a fool when there are many words.”   (Ecc 5:2)  

“Much dreaming and many words are meaningless.
Therefore stand in awe of God.”  (Ecc 5:7)  

“The more the words,
the less the meaning,
and how does that profit anyone?”  (Ecc 6:11)
