Time well spent.

Satan, the deceiver and destroyer, is constantly luring us to “good” things (like Martha) so that we are too busy to have relationship with God, the best thing (like Mary).

BUSY (acrostic) = “Being Under Satan’s Yoke”

So next time you feel yourself too busy to be with God, then withdraw to a quiet place.  “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”  (Luke 5:16)

God loves you and wants to spend time with you.

How about thinking of it this way:
(This has happened to me with my dad.)

What if you realized that you wanted to spend time with someone (who earnestly wanted to spend time with you) but you didn’t realize it for years? My dad died about 9 years ago and, having recently read a letter that he wrote to me almost 30 years ago, I now see that he loved me and desired to spend time with me. However I never noticed until just in the last few years how much I loved him and now I wish that I could spend time with him.

That may sound sad, but 2 things: First, it may encourage you to spend time with your dad (and your Heavenly Dad). Second, I will spend time with my dad when I get to Heaven. So I’m okay. But it isn’t too late for both you and me to spend more time with God!
